Peggy Darlene Ligon, beloved wife of Lon Stuart Ligon, peacefully passed away in her home in Gainesville, Florida early on the morning of December 3rd, 2018.  She was being cared for by her loving family following an extended hospitalization.  Peggy was born in 1939 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Oral Lamont Lewis and Mary Ellen Lewis.  She is survived by her devoted husband, her sister Mary Oralene Rasp, her daughters Robin Frazer, Kendra Kuck and Sylvia Kuck, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.  Peggy was preceded in death by her brother David Lamont Lewis.  Peggy had been a parishioner of the Disciples of Christ Church in Gainesville, a member of The Red Hatters, the Newcomers Club, and was co-founder of the Grand Squares Square Dancing Club. She frequently played Mahjong and cards with friends, whom she loved dearly.  As a Girl Scout, she was one of the first recipients of the Church of Christ’s God and Country Badge. Please join the family in a Celebration of Life to honor Peggy at Forest Meadows Funeral Home on December 15th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.
