Many, many years ago Oscar and I were colleagues at Ohio Northern University. When I came to U of F I did not realize Oscar was here on the Pharmacy Faculty. I saw him on the golf course for the first time, and I remembered that ingratiating and warm smile from earlier days. To Oscar's family, please accept my heartfelt condolences. He was a wonderful human being. Jack Grigsby

Dear Betty and family, My heart goes out to all of you today. I have so many fond memories of Crescent Beach and all of the Gainesville families from the UF Pharmacy School. I will never forget when Oscar saw Nancy and I on the beach and said"Thank God that you girls are normal". He was definitely referring to us being brought up by Charles H. Becker!!!!nancy and I have laughed about that for many years. May God bring peace to all of you and he will be missed. Love, Ann B. Wilson and family

Dear Betty and family, we are so saddened to hear of Oscars death. Maggie Perry, Tony's wife, told us last nite at a birthday party. Sad news, but Oscar enjoyed his parties, so we tipped a glass for him. Dad always talked about getting on his PJs as the nite wore on, and telling Oscar as he left the house when the party was over, would he please turn out the lights. He was Dad's good buddy, and I throw around Oscar's name with his many pharmacy students here in Vero to get super service, and they always give it to me becaus of their respect for Oscar. Our love to all your Family. George

Many blessings to your family. Dr Araujo interviewed me for pharmacy school in 1981. I was very nervous, and he made the interview very easy for me. He was kind and patient. Afterwards, I knew I really wanted to be admitted to UF's College of Pharmacy. He never forgot my name. I saw him at the BBQ a few years ago, and he remembered me. My prayers go out to all of his family.
