Regina Bier Carlson
- 3/7/2010
...
Regina Bier Carlson went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 7, 2010 surrounded by her loving family.

Regina, or “Gina” as she was known, was born in Cavasso Nuovo, Italy. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Columbus, Ohio. She studied opera at the Julliard School of Music in New York City, where she enjoyed a promising singing career until she met and fell in love with her husband, Carl Gustav Carlson. She turned from her professional singing aspirations to be a loving wife and devoted mother. She and Carl recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends on August 8, 2009.

She never lost her passion for singing and she continued to sing in several church choirs and for other special occasions. She also enjoyed reading, family time, and any Gator sporting event.

She is survived by her husband, Carl, son, Eric Peter Carlson, daughter, Terri (Tony) Milikin and grandchildren, Carlson, Christian, and Caroline Milikin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pietro and Frida Bier and two brothers, Louis Bier and Louis Francis Bier.

A vigil service will be held at St. Augustine Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 8:30 PM. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 11, at 12:00 PM. Entombment will follow the Mass at Forest Meadows Memorial Park Central Mausoleum, 4100 NW 39th Avenue.

I remember very clearly the first time I met Gina. I was working at a little clothing store called Jacqueline and she stopped in to look around. She made an instant wonderful impression on me and we remained friends over the years. Even when the store closed she would still stop in at my new job to say hello. I always lit up when I saw her smile. She and Carl even attended my wedding in March of 2003. She and her beautiful spirit will be greatly missed. We are all so fortunate to have such a beautiful angel looking over us now. Wray

I can still hear her beautiful voice singing, she was standing next to me in Holy Faith Church at Sunday Mass and we bumped heads when we sat down and started to laugh. I knew then we would be friends. She shared her gift of singing whenever she could. I feel grateful to have known her She will be missed by all
