Nezhat Ourmazd passed away peacefully Sunday, July 18, 2010 at 11:15 AM at E.T. York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville, Florida.  She was 86 years old, and had lived in Gainesville for some years.

Ms. Ourmazd was born on March 18^th 1924, as Nezhat Mirfakhrai.  She married Abdul Ali, later General Ourmazd, and had three children, Nasrin, Noushin, and Abbas.  In 1987, she and Mr. Ourmazd joined the rest of the family in the United States.  She lived in New Jersey until her husband’s death in 1994, later moving to Gainesville to live with Nasrin.

Ms. Ourmazd was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She is survived by Nasrin, Noushin, Abbas (Dr. A Hirst), and five grandchildren, Jenia (Mr. K. Wolcott), Jima (Dr. M. Hines), Mohammed, Negar, and Amin, and one great grand-daughter Roya.
