Anna Firmbach Connell

Mrs. Anna Firmbach Connell, of Gainesville, died Monday, November 5, 2012 at her daughter’s home in Alachua.  Mrs. Connell was 85.  Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York.   Anna was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, LCDR William Connell, USN (Ret.).  Anna met William in Central Park during World War II.  A devout Roman Catholic, Anna is survived by her son Guy L. Connell, of Middleburg, Patricia Ann Marston of Alachua, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great –great- grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening, November 7, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Ave., Gainesville, FL.  Funeral Services will be held on Thursday November 8, 2012 at St. Madeline’s Catholic Church, 17155 NW US HWY 441, High Springs, FL with Father Sebastian, CMI, Presiding.  Burial will follow at Forest Meadows Memorial Park Central.  Arrangements are under the care of Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 352-378-2528.

    Nana Ann- I will always remember you, your kindness to me as well as our good time having sausages and beer will forever be in my memory. Just being accepted into your family has been one of the best areas of my life. Rest in peace, I live and will always remember you.
