Anna M. Mossa

Anna M. Mossa (Gagliardi), 88,  passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at the E.T. York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville, FL.  She was born in Toritto, Italy, daughter of Luca Gagliardi and Maria Silletti.  She graduated from university in Italy, was a homemaker and teacher of foreign languages in New Jersey.  She moved to Gainesville in 2005 where she became a parishioner at Holy Faith Catholic Church.

Mrs. Mossa was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Vito Mossa, her brother, Michele Gagliardi and her sisters, Rosetta Isnardi and Cecilia Losacco.  She is survived by her children, Joann (Llewellyn Kohler) and Vincent; grandchildren Cara and Miles Mossa-Kohler, all of Gainesville, and brother Pd. Luca Gagliardi of Padua, Italy.  She was also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, and in-laws in Canada, Italy, and New Jersey.  Her love for others and devotion to family will be truly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Faith Catholic Church at 9:30 am on Thursday, August 7, 2014 with Father Emmanuel Pazhayapurackal celebrating the mass. The family will receive friends at the church from 8:30 – 9:15 am prior to the Mass.  Burial to follow in Forest Meadows Memorial Park Central.
