Antoinette (“Ann”) Crawford

Antoinette (“Ann”) Crawford, beloved wife of Wally for 66 years, passed peacefully in the comfort of her family and the compassion of Haven Hospice on April 22th. Dedicated mother to William, Patricia, Douglas (Sheryl) and Robert (Lorie), and adoring grandmother and great-grandmother to Alyssa, Jennifer, Kyle, Brittany, Patrick, Blake, and Christopher and Adam, Ann was a fount of love to her family and many friends. Ann is also survived by her dear brother, Dr. Eugene Celano (Rebecca).

As a talented seamstress and dress-maker, Ann owned and operated Over N’ Undies where she built a loyal clientele who greatly appreciated her custom clothes-making and alterations. She also taught sewing to many children and adults.

A long-standing member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Ann sang in the choir and served as a CCD Teacher at St. Patrick’s School. In addition to volunteering and fundraising for many worthwhile organizations, Ann was President of the East Farmingdale, NY Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary and President of the Elk Wives, Gainesville, FL.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in celebration of Ann’s life at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 3rd, 2014 at St. Patrick’s Church, 500 NE 16th Avenue, Gainesville.

A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Haven Hospice, HavenHospice.org.
