Arthur Stuckey

  Arthur Stuckey was born on August 16, 1924 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and passed away early Monday morning June 3rd, 2019 at the age of 94 in Gainesville, Florida.

Arthur served in the U.S. Army in WWII from July of 1943 until December of 1945 as a Technician Fifth Grade.

He was well known in the communities for his dedication to helping the local Methodist Churches in many capacities; most recently at Melrose Park Unted Methodist Church, First Methodist Church of Homosassa, and Trinity United Methodist Church in Gainesville.

Arthur is survived by his wife of 55 yrs Althea Stuckey, two daughters Linda Dupuree, Selma Faucher; two sons and daughter in laws Russ and Debbie Stuckey, Gene and Kim Stuckey; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Verna Tatum and Charles Stuckey, two sisters Claudia Smith, Harriet Parmelee and one brother Charles Stuckey.
