Beverly Jean Burch-Ephriam, age 81 of Gainesville, Florida passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 at E T York Haven Hospice Care Center in Gainesville, Florida. She was born in Muncie, Indiana on February 21, 1937. She moved to Gainesville with her first husband, Charles Leavell in 1958. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church of Gainesville where she enjoyed playing the organ along with many other activities. She was involved in many organizations where she not only used her crafting skills but also raised money to help others. She was a loving, giving and caring person that was devoted to her family, friends and church.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Nathaniel J. Ephriam, daughers, Rochelle (Thomas) Richardson of St. Augustine, Florida and Esther Leavell of Tallahassee, Florida, grandson, Jason (Melissa) Allen, great grandchildren, Walter and Maya of Lakeland, Florida, sister, Betty (Bill) Rinard, Barbara Zehringer, Martha Dabbs and Janice (Jim) Jarnigan, brother, James (Kay) West all of Indiana and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Emma Tharp and husbands, Charles R. Leavell and Wallace Burch.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at New Hope Baptist Church of Gainesville, 2616 SE 35th Street, Gainesville, Florida with Rev. Dale Williams officiating. Visitation will take place at the church one hour prior to services. Interment will take place at Forest Meadows Memorial Park East. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Meadows Funeral Home, Gainesville, FL.
