Mrs. Bigna A. Francis-von Wyttenbach, age 90 passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 25, 2021 in Gainesville, FL. Bigna was born on August 18, 1930 to the late Baron Thomas and Marguerite von Wyttenbach in Bern, Switzerland. She married the love of her life, the late Dr. John E. Francis on July 25, 1959 in Washington, D.C. Bigna was a renowned International Real Estate broker and spokesperson. She was an accomplished author writing a historical novel, as well as 3 children’s books. She was an entrepreneur owning several small businesses. She was fluent in 7 languages, as well as a private language teacher. Bigna leaves behind her loving family, son Peter Francis and his wife Karen, son Robert Francis and his wife Karen, daughter Patricia Smith, and her husband Jeffrey. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Gary Garnes, Kristina Francis, Kimberly Francis, Katherine Francis, Victoria Francis, Alexandra Francis, Jake Smith and Jessica Smith. The family will hold a private service .

    So sad to see her go but happy she’s with her husband now. Peace and comfort to all the family as you all mourn the loss of Bigna. She was wonderful!

    Bigna was an old and dear friend. She taught Robert and me Italian when the family lived in Pleasantville. She kindly sent us to meet her lovely family when we went to Switzerland and Italy.

    My condolences to all her children , grandchildren and family. I know how you miss her.
