Carol J Pyatt, 87, of Gainesville passed away on Nov 15, 2020 in Gainesville.

Funeral service will be held at Forest Meadows Cemetery Chapel, 4100 NW 39th Ave Gainesville FL on Thurs Nov 19, 2020 at 2:00pm. Burial/Interment will follow at Forest Meadows Cemetery. Forest Meadows Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements.

Carol was born in Belleville, Illinois to Lorraine Thomas Collar and Ellen Kebel Collar on Nov 2, 1933. She went to high school at Belleville High and graduated in 1951. She worked as an executive assistant at Northwestern University in Chicago for several years where she met her husband Edwin. In 1961 she had her only child, Dale and was a loving, supportive Mother for 59 years. She was kind and loving to everyone she met and was loved by all who met her. She enjoyed reading, cooking (gourmet), bowling, collecting and most of all a good conversation.

Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin, her father and mother, Mr and Mrs Lorraine T Collar.

Carol is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Terri Pyatt of Middleton Ma, her grandson and wife, Jeff and Erin Pyatt of Standish ME, her granddaughter Tanya Demeris of Boxford MA and her great grandson Remi Pyatt of Standish ME.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Neurological Association at myana.org.  Condolences may be left in Carol’s online guestbook at www.forestmeadowsfuneralhome.com

    Carol, I loved you the moment I met you 42 years ago. I will always remember our “pajama party” when we literally stayed up all night talking (mostly about how wonderful our two kids were). You were a wonderful friend and a beautiful , loving, caring person. You will be in my heart forever. Love, Louise
