Charles Lamar Bryant, 87 of Gainesville, passed away June 15, 2013. He was born in Trammel, KY on May 7, 1926 to parents Matthias Marmaduke Bryant and Mabel Bryant. He was the last surviving of 11 siblings. He was a member of the High Springs Church of Christ.
Charles is survived by his wife of 59 years Shirley Keith Bryant of Gainesville, daughters Sharon Bryant, Mabel Stickles (Erik), Ruth Bryant and Charlena Bryant of Gainesville, a son Troy Bryant (Kristen) of Gainesville, 10 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.
Graveside Funeral Services for Mr. Bryant will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 11:00am at the Forest Meadows Memorial Park East, 3700 SE Hawthorne Rd., Gainesville. The family will be receiving friends 5:00pm-7:00pm on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at the Forest Meadows Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Charles’s name to The Mt. Dora Christian Home for Children, 301 W. 13th Avenue Mt. Dora, Florida 32757.
