Christine B. Thomas

Thomas, Christine “Chris” Busbey, 83, was born in Gainesville, FL on April 1, 1931 to W.H. And Reba Busbey.  She was the second of two daughters. Chris passed away on February 11, 2015. 
Mrs. Thomas was a devoted and faithful christian and was a prayer warrior until the very end. Mrs. Thomas was retired from the University of Florida after nearly 20 years of service. 
Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her twins, son, Terry Lynn Thomas and daughter, Doree Eileen Thomas, her parents, W.H. And Reba Busbey, and her sister, Dorothy Busbey Cowart. 
Mrs. Thomas is survived by her four children, Eddy Thomas, Mickey Thomas (Bridget), Ricky Thomas (Carol), and Mariann Pons (Derrick), 19 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, niece, Susan Courtney, two great-nephews and one great-niece. 
Services for Christine “Chris” Busbey Thomas will be Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at 11:00 am at Evergreen Cemetery in Gainesville, FL. Reverend Richard Cicio of Windsor Baptist Church will be officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Meadows Funeral Home.
