Chuong Ba Ha, 82 of Saigon, Vietnam, passed away peacefully in his sleep December 11th, 2022 in his home of Gainesville, Florida surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral service will be held at Forest Meadows Funeral Home on Saturday, December 17th from 11am to 2pm. A traditional Buddhist Ceremony will take place during the final hour.
Chuong was born in Saigon, Vietnam on December 15th, 1939. He was a dedicated, hardworking man who learned tradework during his youth. After marrying, he started a noodle factory to provide for his family and then was drafted to serve in the military. Chuong immigrated to America in 1980 with one of his daughters to build a better life for the rest of his family.
Chuong found his passion in food and went on to work and open his own restaurants up until his retirement. He could be found in his massive garden that he was so proud of or in the kitchen cooking. He loved learning, cooking, gardening and spending time with family.
Chuong is preceded in death by his daughter, Nhi K. Ha.
Chuong is survived by his wife, Hao Nguyet Duong, his three sons and three daughters. Oldest son, Hoa Du Ha and wife, his son Hoa Thieu Ha and wife, and son Hoa Tuan Ha. His oldest daughter Chi K. Cheung and husband, daughter Trinh K. Ha and husband, youngest daughter, Binh K. Ha and husband. Along with 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Food and refreshments will also be provided after the funeral service.
