Clara Virginia Camicia, 95, passed away on August 29, 2012 at Harbor Chase Assisted Living Facility in Gainesville, FL.
Virginia was born on January 16, 1917 in Kidder, MO to Clara and Karl V. Brown.
She graduated from Spencer High School, Spencer, WV and from Shenandoah Conservatory in Dayton, VA where she studied violin and voice. Upon graduation she taught music in the public school system in Welch, WV.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas T. Camicia (Greenwich, CT) and son, John Thomas and sister, Mildred Boling (Blacksburg, VA).
She is survived by her daughter, Caren (Jack) Hollenbeck of Gainesville, FL; by granddaughter, Catherine (Dan) Martin of New York, NY; grandson, Scott (Julie) Hollenbeck of Durham, NC and great grandchildren, Will and Audrey Martin and Zeph and Charles Wiley Hollenbeck.
Virginia’s family wishes to thank the entire staff of Harbor Chase Assisted Living Facility for providing a very special home of dignity, comfort, happiness and unconditional love. They are especially grateful to her two private caregivers, Greydyn Lee and Shirley Andrews for their exceptional and loving care.
