Clifford Carwile Kinsey, 90 years old, died April 16th at Plantation Oaks Senior Living
Center in High Springs, Florida.
Cliff grew up in West Palm Beach, Florida, then retired with his wife Margie of 52 years
to Salt Springs, Florida. He spent many wonderful years fishing and enjoying the beautiful
wildlife that living on Lake Kerr provided. He had spent many summers fishing and
hunting there as a boy with his father Warren Kinsey, bothers, Victor and Duey, and sister Rona Kinsey. This was a special place for him as he taught his children and grand-
children to fish and enjoy nature passing on the love of both.
Clifford was the co-owner of Boy’s Inc. a roofing, A/C and sheet metal company in W. Palm Beach, Florida and worked as the estimator there until the company was sold. Prior to
his work at Boy’s he was drafted in the U.S. Army near the end of WW11. Clifford ended up
in the recruiting section and worked there until he was able to transfer to a unit in the
Philippines. He took Philippine scouts up to Clarke Field north of Manila. From there he received fly orders back home which was unusual. The rest of the company went home on
a ship. It was a great honor.
Mr. Kinsey is survived by his daughters, Marlene Hendrickson and Brenda Cox and three
grandchildren , Melanie Chandler, Rebecca McKenzy, Gary Hendrickson, and three great grandchildren Selena Oropesa, Jacques McKenzy and Jeffrery Chandler. He is preceded
in death by his wife Marjorie Hartwell Kinsey and brother Duey Kinsey. Cliff was a kind,
and loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He always had a smile for all he
greeted.
