Dale Robert Zurbriggen, born February 22, 1949 in Saint Louis Missouri, died Wednesday May 15th. He was a devoted father of two and a well known and respected musician and jeweler. As a drummer, he played with popular groups like Bob Kuban and the In Men, The Platters, and Ike and Tina Turner. After hanging up his sticks, he led a successful career of more than 25 years as a gemologist and jewelery store manager. He was the son of Robert William and Dorothy Zurbriggen (both deceased). He is survived by his son Adam Zurbriggen, his daughter Tiffany Zurbriggen, and his fiancee Sue Rose. A loving father and family man, full of life and humor and without the slightest sense of pretension, he brought a smile to all who knew and loved him well. Even in death he reminds us: “Don’t take life too seriously; you’ll never get out alive anyway.”
There will be an informal memorial service and reception at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Ave., Gainesville on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 12:00pm
Will miss ya Unk, and so will mom and Chris! So glad Bert was able to help out financially on behalf of Grandpa. Now you, Grandpa and Gammi are together again.

Sue and Adam and Tiffany,
I send my condolences during your time of grief
May God bless your souls,
You may be wondering why did he have to go
But only God and Heaven knows
When the day comes you’ll see him at the crossroads
But until that day
Just know God works in mysterious ways.
Love you baby sister
My deepest condolences to your family. May you find comfort in the wonderful memories you’ve shared together and also in the promise found at John 5:28,29 where we are assured that we will be able to see our dear loved one again. May the God of All Comfort, comfort through this very difficult and sad time. Sending love, and keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers.
