Donald Wilson Rowan, age 75, of Gainesville, FL passed away on December 15, 2021. After prolonged illness, there is great comfort in knowing that he was surrounded by family and love during his passage and was fortunate to receive the Holy Sacrament of Extreme Unction. He is survived by his daughters, Danielle Gregory (Todd) and Jennifer Rowan, his siblings, Robert Rowan (Denise), Gary Rowan and Dolores Flores, his grandsons, Taylor Gregory and Chance Rowan, his nieces and nephews, Lisa Jackson (Tom), Nick Petrou (Cara), Austin Rowan (Kristen), Chad Wilson Rowan (Lana), Brett Rowan, Sean Flores (Tiffany), Michelle Flores and Christina Flores. Don attended Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach, received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business at Florida Atlantic University while also proudly serving our country in the Army. He had many creative endeavors as an entrepreneur and a long career in the retail industry. Most important to Don was his fervent belief in the Traditional Roman Catholic Church. Don served as the Mission Coordinator for Our Lady of Sorrows Mission and very much enjoyed his friendships with fellow parishioners while coordinating the welcome of new members. He will be dearly missed.

My condolences to Don Rowan and his family,
I was a parishioner at Our Lady of Sorrows. I knew Don for just a short period of time, but the time I knew him I think he saw a little bit of himself in me and I certainly saw a little bit of myself in him. Especially after hearing his stories about his faith and entrepreneurship. He was not only a faithful man, but a humble man and one intellectually capable of business and church coordination. He was like the grandfather I never had and he will be missed dearly. I will especially miss his stories and wisdom over a nice meal. I believe his leadership, warm heart, and love for his family will be remembered most by those who knew him.
