Dr. Manuel R. Vilaret

Dr. Manuel R. Vilaret , 96, died June 30th , 2015. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Gloria V. Vilaret, son Dr. Manuel R. Vilaret, daughters Vilma V. Lang, Gloria V. Gonzalez, and Arleen V. Partridge, their spouses, 11 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
Born in Cuba, Dr. Vilaret was a 56 year resident of Gainesville. He was a past president of North Central Fla. Engineering Society, named Engineer of the Year in 1983 and 1984 by the American Society of Engineers Fla. Section, Water Engineer Emeritus by CH2M Hill, lifetime Fellow of the Florida Engineering Society, and in 1998 received an award in recognition of 50 years of service by the American Waterworks Association for his work and interest in enhancing the Water Global Environment.
A funeral mass will be held at Holy Faith Catholic Church at 1:30 pm on Sunday July 5, 2015.
