Edith Daniel Halsey was born December 14, 1926 in Volney, VA. She graduated from Radford College and enjoyed a long career as an executive for Dodge Trophies and Black Magic Products. She retired to Gainesville, FL in 1997 and became an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was affiliated with Zonta International and was an enthusiastic participant in the Red Hat Society.
She passed away in her home on November 8, 2017. She is survived by her daughter Martha Franklin Halsey-Lyda of Gainesville, FL; a brother, Mickey C. Daniel of Volney, VA; and two grandsons, Tim McCallum and Chris McCallum. Memorial arrangements are pending; memorial gifts may be directed to Haven Hospice.
