Our Mom, Edna Mae Spratt, age 96, of Melrose, Florida passed away peacefully on April 28, 2022. Edna’s life began in New Jersey. She was the beloved wife of the late James Spratt. Edna was a devoted mother to Adele, Edna -(Bob), Dottie-(Bill) and Jeanne-(Gregg). She was a sister to Ernie, Dot, Bill and Jean and the cherished grandmother of seventeen and a great-grandmother of twenty. Edna enjoyed summers at Wilson Lake, camping, sewing, traveling, playing Scrabble, reading, and being with family and friends. A fresh pot of coffee was always ready in her kitchen. Edna was a dedicated nurse, church member, a twenty-five-year hospice volunteer and a hospital auxiliary volunteer. She was a valued member of E.C.W., O.E.S., and U.T.O. She called Melrose home for more than forty years. Edna had tremendous gratitude for her many blessings and a profound Christian faith. She was confident that she would be reunited with her husband, mother, and many loved ones.
On Saturday, May 7th at 10:00 a.m., a Holy Eucharist Service will take place at Trinity Episcopal Church in Melrose. Immediately following the service, the ashes of James and Edna Spratt will be interred in the Church’s Memorial Garden. If desired, contributions may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, the Shriners or any hospice. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Meadows Funeral Home, Gainesville, FL.

So thankful to have our lovely mother for so many years. 95. Loved her family especially grand children and great grand children. Along with their spouses , nieces ,nephews and many many friends.
Living in New Jersey in early years then Melrose gave us opportunity’s to travel & visit. Covid awareness made “phone visit “ as Mom would say as good as real visit.
Resting in Peace now with Dad. always in our heart!💕
