Edward Alan Staley, 89, of Gainesville, FL, passed away on October 18, 2012.

He was born on February 3, 1923 in Pittsburgh, PA to Merton G. Staley and Minnie Florence Oakley. Mr. Staley served in the army during WW II and later retired from the Steel Industry as a Draftsman. Mr. Staley attended First Church of the Nazarene in Gainesville.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia M. Staley, son Ken Staley of Tulsa, OK and daughter, Diane Bragg of Lake City, FL, sister, Carol Nomides of Pittsburgh, PA, grandchildren, Rebekah and Michael and great-grandchildren, Caleb and Nathan.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Forest Meadows Funeral Home Chapel, 725 NW 23rd Avenue, Gainesville, FL with Rev. Carl Romey officiating.

Flowers are welcomed however; you may wish to make a donation to Haven Hospice of Gainesville.

    Please know Bill and I continue to pray for you and your family daily. We have such fond memories of times and conversations shared with you and Ed. He will be greatly missed by us , and all of his friends. We do rejoice that he is now with our Heavenly Father and has been comletely restored to health. God bless you.
