Erie Belle Everette (Granny) passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Ayers Health And Rehabilitation Center. She was 89 years old. She was born July 18, 1932 in Florida.
Granny joins the love of her life, Cecil (Granddaddy) who preceded her to heaven by five years.
Granny is preceded in death by her siblings, Clinton Harris, Pat Harris, Elmer Harris, and Lillian Owens.
Granny is survived by her sons Cecil Jr “Sonny” (Dianne), Alan (Melinda), Frank (Lucy) and Michael Sr (Ellen). Her seven grandchildren are Matthew (Angie), Beau, Doug (Cathryn), Alan Jr (Brittany), Joseph (Megan), Michael Jr (Misty), and Chris (Becca). Her great-grandchildren Matt Jr, Haley, Bo Scarlett, Abigail, Connor, Drew, Ellisyn, A.J., Lydia, Brooke, Maddie, and Macy.
Granny is also survived by a big family of nieces, nephews, and cousins including Glinda Lane, Deb Alligood, and Clay Harris.
Granny lived 89 years in Central Florida. Most of them were spent within a stone’s throw of the old house where she was born. Sixty-six of her years were spent with Granddaddy, raising four sons and watching her grandchildren fill her house and life with love. They lived a full life, leaving behind a legacy of four sons, seven grandson’s and twelve great-grandchildren.
Granny will be missed, but will also live on in these future generations.
Erie is a member of Hague Baptist Church.
In honor of our mama, we offer these Bible verses which define her perfectly:
Proverbs 31:10
- Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price if far above rubies.
- Strength and honor are her clothing.
- Her children arise and call her blessed.
- Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates.
Caroline and I express our deepest sympathy on Erie Belle’s passing. We will be traveling the date of the service but hope you know we would be there if it were possible.
May the peace of Christ Jesus hold you and comfort you as you remember your mother.
Blessings to you all.
