Estelle Chesser Keene

Keene, Estelle C., 78 of Newberry died Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at the Haven Hospice E.T. York Care Center.

Estelle was born in Gainesville on April 22, 1935 to Lester and Pearlie Chesser.  Estelle went to Gainesville High School and worked in retail sales and was a bridal consultant for Terry Walters Photography. Estelle loved her family and enjoyed taking care of them; she loved flowers and enjoyed making floral arrangements and was a fantastic cook.  She especially enjoyed and loved her granddaughter Jessica and especially enjoyed going to her dance recitals.

Estelle was predeceased by her husband of over 40 years Alvin Keene and her brother Adral Chesser and is survived by her son Randy Keene (Carolyn) of High Springs and her granddaughter Jessica.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Keene will be Friday, October 11, 2013 at 1:00pm at the Forest Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Forest Meadows Memorial Park East.  Family will receive friends on Thursday evening October 10, 2013 at the Funeral Home from 6:00pm-8:00pm.
