Ethel Mae Weaver, 102, of Gainesville passed away on Friday, April 18, 2014 at Shands at UF. She was married to Adam Daniel Weaver Sr., who preceded her in death. Mrs. Weaver resided in Rochester, NY until 1984 when she relocated to Gainesville, FL. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Church, pastored by Dr. W.G. Mayberry.  During her life, she served on the Mother’s board, being the oldest member of the church as well as a retired member of the Foster-grandparent Program at Lake Forest Elementary.

Mrs. Weaver is preceded in death by her husband, Adam Daniel Weaver Sr., son, Willie Mac Sr. (Lottie), daughter, Flora Taylor (Troy) of Miami, Annette Weaver of Gainesville, FL. She is survived by Raymond (Barbara) of Portsmouth, VA, Adam (Lillian) of Chesapeake, VA, James of Chesapeake, VA and daughter in law, Marilyn Cowart of Gainesville, FL, daughters Dorothy McNish of Gainesville, FL, Betty Williams (Charlie) of Gainesville, FL, Cora Denson (William) of Ft. Myers, FL, Deborah Weaver (Marvin) of Rochester, NY and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.

A visitation for Mrs. Weaver will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Avenue, Gainesville, FL, 32609. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Forest Meadows Memorial Park, Chapel in the Meadows at 4100 NW 39th Avenue with burial immediately following at the same location.

The family requests a line-up at the home of Charlie and Betty Williams, 1909 NE 7th Terrace at 9 a.m.  Repass will be held at M & M Upholstery, 201 NW 6th Street, Gainesville, FL, 32601.
