Eugene Allan “Gene” Henry, 70 died October 19, 2013 at ET York Haven Hospice Care Center. Gene was born in Gainesville, FL October 27, 1942 to John C. and Josie L. Tucker Henry.
Gene was a lifetime resident of Gainesville, a graduate of Gainesville High School, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He worked as a property appraiser for Alachua County for 30 years and was an avid Gator fan.
Gene is survived by his wife Cheryl Savage Henry, 2 children, Jeffrey (Vitalia) Henry, and Jodie (John) Burrow, 2 step sons, David (Elea) and Gregg (Lori) Harrison, a sister, Delores Tomlinson, 3 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren and his lifelong best friend Fred Hadsock.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013 at
11:00 am at Forest Meadows Funeral Home Chapel, 725 N.W. 23rd Ave.
