Eugenie (Ewers) Erickson, 72, of Gainesville,FL died Sunday, October 21, 2012.
Eugenie spent her childhood in Cincinnati, OH graduating from Walnut Hills High School. Prior to moving to Gainesville, Eugenie lived in Door County,WI and Madison, NJ.
Eugenie was an avid reader, traded in antiques and collectibles, loved her cats and pursued many varied and interesting career opportunities. She is remembered for her creativity and wit which she called upon in writing contemporary greeting cards, where she was considered a “top ten” freelance contributor.
Eugenie is survived by her sister, Elise Elio (Raymond) and by children Laurie Erickson (David Upton) of Madison, NJ, Michael Erickson of Gainesville, FL, Jennifer Harris (Brian) of Brick, NJ and Lind Archipov (Vadim) of St. Petersburg, FL. She was a loving grandmother to James Jaworski, Alexandra Archipov, Anika Archipov, Boris Archipov and Aunt to nephews Matthew & Michael Terreri. In her marriage to Ronald, Eugenie was also family to many others.
A private service will be held on Friday October 26th at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, followed by burial at Prairie Creek.
