Faye Evelyn Chance Henegar, 89, of Gainesville, FL passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022.
Faye was born in Mentor, TN on December 9, 1932, to Roy Leroy and Katherine (Cochran) Chance.

She worked as a Medical Technologist and retired from Civitan Regional Blood Bank.
Her passions in life were spending time with her family and friends and participating in the ministries of
Westside Baptist Church. She loved going to the beach and the mountains, cooking,
and discussing her family history. Most of all she was a woman of great faith, who loved the Lord and
considered herself richly blessed.

Faye is survived by her daughter, Katherine Reve, grandson, Jeffrey (Jess) Reve of Milton, FL and niece, Rebecca Henegar of Knoxville, TN
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Henegar, son-in-law, William Reve, sister, Alyne Taylor,
and brother, Raymond Chance. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022, at 12:00 pm at
Forest Meadows Cemetery-Central; 4100 NW 39 th Ave. Gainesville.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Faye’s memory to the Florida Baptist Children’s Homes,
fbchomes.org or Bread of the Mighty Food Bank, breadofthemighty.org.
Services are in the care of Forest Meadows Funeral Home-Gainesville.

    Your mom was always one of my very favorite people. She was just the sweetest lady – all the time. I am so sorry for your loss. I know how close the two of you were.
