Hardee, Florence Augusta “Gussie”, 86 of Gainesville died April 23, 2013 at Harbor Chase . Gussie was born in O’Steen, FL to Raymond and Della Griffis on August 10, 1926 and has lived in the Gainesville area since 1931.
Gussie retired from the Bellsouth Telephone Co., was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Gussie was predeceased by her parents Raymond and Della Griffis, brothers O.W. Griffis and Everett Griffis and is survived by her husband James Kelly Hardee, Son Woody James, Jr. Lynn) of Gainesville, daughter Joy Cummings (Chris) of Gainesville, Step-daughter Lois Ann, Step-Son Bobby, brothers Charles, Roy and Vernon, Frank and Bobby; sister, Lavonia Link, and the love of her life her, 5 grandchildren Travis, Amanda, Chance, Sarah and Kellyn and 3 great-grandchildren Mattie, Cambell and Hunter and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hardee will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 2:00pm in the Forest Meadows Funeral Home Chapel, with a visitation one hour prior to the start of the service. Burial will be held immediately after the service at Forest Meadows Memorial Park, East, 4100 S.E. Hawthorne Rd.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. My prayers are with you and your family during this sad time. As you go through the greiving process, rejoice in the knowledge that you were blessed to share a long and wonderful life with your mom. I hope that those memories helps in the long run.
