In Loving Memory of

Frank Scalamonti

 -

Frank Charles Scalamonti of Gainesville, Fl, age 71, passed away December 29th, 2022, at home peacefully in his sleep after a history of heart disease and other illnesses. Frank’s wishes were to be cremated, and Forest Meadows Funeral Home is handling arrangements. A family commemorative luncheon will be planned to honor his memory.

Frank is survived by his wife and soulmate of 50 years, Cindy Scalamonti, and their two amazing children, Anne Scalamonti of Portland, OR and Eric Scalamonti of Orlando, FL. He also leaves behind his dear sister Lisa Scalamonti from Chicago, IL.

Frank was an avid musician throughout his life. In addition to his professional career as a drummer and a certified aviation mechanic, he was passionate about meteorology and the natural sciences. He was proud to have received his Bachelor of Science degree from the New York Institute of Technology in 1987 and spent many summers tornado chasing in the Midwest.

Later, living in Florida provided Frank with ample opportunity to pursue his fascination with hurricanes, as well as with aviation and astronomy. He was always watching the skies at every opportunity, in one way or another. A lover of sports, film, comedy, and theater, he also inspired these interests in his family. Frank’s mischievous sense of humor and quick wit will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Condolences may be left in the online guestbook of Forest Meadows.

Frank, you will be missed… jazz up the afterlife for us all.

Love, Cindy

It is well, it is well, with my soul.””
