Fredrick Jack Wadford, III

Fredrick “Jack” Wadford III passed away at his home in Gainesville, FL on February 9, 2016. He was born November 12, 1933 in St. Petersburg, FL.

Mr. Wadford served three years in the US Army and was a supervisor for AT&T before retiring. He was a 32nd degree Mason and Shriner at Morocco Temple in Jacksonville.

He was a much loved son, father, grandfather and husband who is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty Lou Shelly Wadford; daughters, Michelle Summers and Judy Reed; son, William Summers; brother, Roger Wadford (Bette); sister, Jane Phillips (Pat); six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Ave, Gainesville from 6-8 PM on Friday, February 12. Funeral Services will be at Forest Meadows Mausoleum Chapel, 4100 NW 39th Avenue at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 13, 2016. Entombment with Military Honors will follow. Arrangements are by Forest Meadows Funeral Home (352) 378-2528.
