Gloria Jean Watts of Alachua, FL died peacefully surrounded by her family May 21, 2013 at E.T. York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville. She was 69.
Mrs. Watts was born July 28, 1943 in Deland, FL to John Jacobs and Ophelia Hall Jacobs. She was a sales administrator at Koppers for 33 years. She loved animals and had squirrels and flocks of wild turkeys on her property.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, brothers, Ralph and Wayne Jacobs, a little sister, Barbara Ann Jacobs. She is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy Wayne Watts; four children, Bridgette (Jay) Weeks, James Harrell of Gainesville, Amy Sawley and Wade Harrell of Ocala; sisters, Joyce Wood and Mary Wood and granddaughter, Megan Weeks.
Mrs. Watts’ family would like to express their thanks to John Overby and Ronnie Martin, brother and sister-in-law for their special help during this difficult time.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon Tuesday, May 28 with visitation one hour prior at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Avenue, Gainesville.
