Grace I. Wynn Rogers, 88, of Waldo, but previously of Gainesville, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Shands Gainesville after a brief illness.
Grace was born on May 16, 1926 in Dade City, Florida, she grew up in Williston, Florida, and lived in Gainesville before moving to Akron, Ohio. She was a receptionist and bookkeeper for Monarch Foods Corp. until 1963, when she moved back to Gainesville. Grace was a meat wrapper for Rogers Thriftway Grocers until retirement.
Grace was a member of Parkview Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph W. Rogers, parents John R. Wynn and Grace Stevens Wynn, brothers Bobby Wynn, Leon C. Wynn, and a sister Jewell Sears.
She is survived by her daughter Rebecca Kuch and son Lloyd Warren both of Jacksonville, FL, sisters, Joyce Baldwin of Waldo, FL, Patricia Green of Gainesville, FL, brother, Ed Wynn (Sara) of Chester, SC, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Family visitation will be Friday, July 11, 2014 at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Ave, Gainesville, FL at 10:00 AM with the funeral service following at 11:00 AM officiated by Pastor Greg Magruder. Interment will take place at Forest Meadows Memorial Park Central, 4100 NW 39th Ave, Gainesville, FL 32606.
