Gregory Dirk Jansen, age 52, died at his Gainesville, FL home on August 3, 2019. He was born in Miami, FL on November 4, 1966. He attended high school in Germany and in Florida. He served in the United States Air Force before earning his Bachelor of Science at the University of Florida and his Master of Science in Psychology from Nova University. He served the Gainesville community for over 30 years as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst specializing in forensic mental health. Greg is survived by his two daughters Eleanor and Phaedra Simpson-Jansen and their mother Heather Simpson; his mother Kay Coleman; his sister Jeannette McNair, his nephew Ian McNair, and his father Karl Jansen. Greg will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 17 at 2 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Gainesville, 4225 NW 34th Street, Gainesville, FL 32605.

We knew Greg many years ago when we were students. He was a nice guy and we are sorry to learn of his death. Our condolences to the whole family.
wow, We lost touch.I was just going to look up your number. I was thinking you might have gone to rehab kicked the drinking,and other issues. Those last few months were so rough for us and you were not thinking straight.
