Harold Wallace, 93, passed away December 21, 2020 at the E. T. York Hospice Care Center.
He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 70 years, Mildred (Mickey) Wallace, parents I. H. and Violet Wallace and brother Homer Wallace. He is survived by his daughter Donna (Harry) Guscott, many nephews, nieces, friends and neighbors.
He was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia and at an early age the family moved to Gainesville, Florida. He attended Gainesville High School and the day after his 18th birthday he enlisted in the Navy. After serving in the Navy, he attended the University of Florida for two years. He then began his career with the United States Postal Service first as a letter carrier and retired as a Postal Supervisor.
He loved the Florida Gators, especially football and basketball as well as women’s basketball and volleyball.
He was a kind and loving man with a great sense of humor. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Due to Covid concerns, a private graveside service will be held.
