Hattie Vickers Day, 88, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2015.

Hattie was born on March 21, 1927 in Boston, Georgia. She began her career at Gulfstream Press as a Binder worker. Following her retirement from Gulfstream, she began working at a florist so she could enjoy her love for flowers. She also loved spending time crocheting and doing anything that involved spending time with her beloved family. Hattie was a member of Eliam Baptist Church in Melrose, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Buck” Day, oldest daughter, Sheron Day Russell and her parents, Elisha and Eula Blanche Vickers.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, William Day of Clarksville, Tennessee; Irene Miller of Modesto, California; Anne Cofield of Fort Valley, Georgia; April Bilecki of Byron, Georgia; sixteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Funeral Services at 11:30 AM at Eliam Baptist Church in Melrose and interment will follow in Eliam Baptist Church Cemetery.
