Hobert Dorsey Cox, Jr.

Hobert Dorsey Cox, Jr. age 84 of Hawthrone passed away September 16, 2015 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville. He was a retired pharmacist for the VA Medical Center in Gainesville.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne Golden, one daughter, Carolyn Cox Rosenide, St. Petersburg, two sons, Bruce Cox, Crystal River and Keith Cox, Pinellas Co., three step-sons, George and Michael Tidwell both of Gainesville and Kevin Tidwell of LaGrange, Ga, two brothers, Paul and Bryan Cox both of Oklahoma, four sisters, Betty Chaney, SC, Sue Garrison, Ark., Nancy Horne, Land-O-Lakes, FL and Retha McAlster of Tx, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015 at First Baptist Church, Hawthorne with Rev. Charles Litzel officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Meadows Funeral Home, Gainesville.
