Irene Frank, born in Weirton, West Virginia August 7,1923 died August 29, 2013 in Gainesville, Florida. Daughter of Angelo and Helena Kondus. Preceded in death by husband Joseph Frank and brothers Eugene and Edwin Kondus. Survived by: daughter Lynda (James) Brundrett, son Dr. Robert (Karen) Frank; grandchildren Christopher (Katherine), James (Karen) Brundrett, Emily (James) Gibbons, Jessica and Rachael Frank, Kirk (Sherry) Kudrna, and Kimberly (Scott) Bain; great grandchildren Mia, Emerson Claire, Mae and Benjamin Brundrett, Camille, Kyle Kudrna and Madelyn, Ryan Bain; sister-in-law Betty Schoenbaum and brother-in-law Marvin Frank; 14 nieces and nephews.

 Irene moved to Dayton, Ohio in 1947 where she met and married Joseph Frank and continued to live there until 1965 when they moved to Gainesville, Florida. Irene and Joseph were happy to make Gainesville their adopted home and became avid Gator fans.

 Irene was co-founder and owner of The University Shop, founding member, past President and lifetime board member of Temple Shir Shalom. She was also a lifetime member of Temple Israel in Dayton, Ohio.

 Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Temple Shir Shalom, 3855 NW 8th Avenue, Gainesville, Florida with interment to follow at Forest Meadows Central, 4100 NW 39th Avenue.  There will be a reception at Irene’s home following the interment.

 In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Temple Shir Shalom.
