James Floyd Ford age 83 of Hawthorne passed away August 21, 2016 at Riverwood Nursing Home in Starke, FL . Floyd was born March 29, 1933 in Orange Heights, FL. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator and worked on the Road Construction for Alachua and Dade Counties and was also a Farmer.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Belle Graham Ford, Brothers, Infant Ford and W. D. Ford, and his daughter, Debbie Ford.   He is survived by his son, James (Jimmy) Ford, Jr., 2 Grandchildren, James Floyd Ford, III and Joseph Edwin Ford and 4 Great Grandchidlren, James Edwin Ford, Landon Ford, Allison Ford and Jameson Edwin Ford.  Graveside Services will be held 10:00am on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Eliam Cemetery in Melrose, FL . Interment will take place following the Services.  Arrangements are under the care of Forest Meadows Funeral Home, Gainesville, FL.
