, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend died January 22, 2019 in Gainesville, FL. He was 54 years old.

Jimmy’s story began September 15, 1964. He was the youngest and only son of Davilita Rodriguez and Eleuterio Romero. Jimmy was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Jimmy was adored by his parents and sisters. Jimmy’s family traveled from Brooklyn, NY to Vieques, Puerto Rico where Jimmy made many lifelong friends and learned to be an auto body technician. Jimmy learned many valuable lessons in Vieques including the rewards of hard work. His work ethic carried into his service in the United States Army. Jimmy spent the last 30 years in Gainesville Florida; where he opened and owned Mends and Blends- Automotive Paint/Body Cosmetics.

Jimmy lived life to the fullest. He loved his dogs Durango and Duke. He was a member of the Monteocha Baptist Church, a supporter of Alachua County Animal Services Shelter, Florida Baptist Children’s Home, Iglesia CCR Vivificados Por El Espiritu and local Veteran groups.

Loved ones that cleared the path for Jimmy are his mother, Davilita Rodriguez and his sisters, Joanne and Jeanette Romero.

He is survived by his father, Eleuterio Romero, stepmother Milagros Cortes Romero; sister, Yvonne Rauschenbach (Peter), Jennifer Romero (Victor De Jesus); nieces,Kristie Lou Ortiz (Eian Guidry), Christine Nevill (Philip), Maryanne Rauschenbach, Sarah Rauschenbach, Victoria Zoe De Jesús; nephews Noel Jose Colon, Samuel De Jesus and ; grandnieces, Penelope Ortiz, Solei Ortiz-Guidry and grandnephews, Jaxon Ortiz-Guidry and Romeo Ortiz-Guidry.
