John G. Purnell

Mr. John G. Purnell, 43, of Ft. White passed away unexpectedly October 16, 2014. Mr. Purnell grew up in High Springs, but had lived for the past 35 years in the Ft. White area. In his spare time Mr. Purnell enjoyed fishing, hunting, mud racing, the outdoors, and gardening. Mr. Purnell was of the Baptist faith.

 

Mr. Purnell is survived by his wife Kay Purnell, his mother Lola Brooks of High Springs, his father William Purnell of Archer, his son Jeb Beck of Lake City, his daughter Nicole Fussell of Bell, his brother Earl Patrick Harris of Ft. White, his sister Alice Marie Abner of High Springs, and his grandmother Alice Cason Walker of High Springs. His grandchildren Jonathan Fussell, Christian Fussell, and Braylen Beck, nephews, nieces, family members and friends, also survive.

 

Funeral services for Mr. Purnell will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church of High Springs. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 PM Monday evening. Arrangements are under the direction of Evans-Carter Funeral Home, 220 N.
