Judy Harrelson Dees

Judy Harrelson Dees of Gainesville was born February 25, 1948 in Kinston, AL and she passed away on March 19, 2017 at Haven Hospice, Lake City, FL. For 20 years Judy worked at the University of Florida in the finance and accounting department and retired on June 30, 2009. Mrs. Dees became an ordained minister in 2000. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles O. Dees, her parents Daniel (Dozier) and Lucille Harrelson, and her brother Wes Harrelson who was a Vietnam Veteran in the US Army. Judy is survived by her children: Calvin “CJ” (Tina) Jones, Charles “Malcolm” (Pat) Dees, Darlene (Robert) Dees Nash, Vernie (Brenda) Dees, Pam Keen, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will receive guest on Wednesday, March 22 at 11am at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Ave., Gainesville, FL. A funeral service will follow at 12pm with the interment at Forest Meadows Memorial Park East. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Meadows Funeral Home (352)378-2528.
