June Ann Gordon

June Ann Gordon died Saturday March 31,2012 at E.T York Haven Hospice Care Center, Gainesville,Florida.
She was born in Jacksonville,Florida.

She was the daughter of Murrell Leslie Stumpf and Madeline  Eugenia Nash Hall.

 She graduated from Landon High School, Jacksonville, Florida; Central Florida Junior College, Ocala, Florida; University of Florida, Gainesville, and Appalachian State

University, Boone, North Carolina.

 Mrs. Gordon retired from the Marion County Public School System where she was a teacher/librarian at a number of schools.

She married her high school sweetheart, Stan Gordon. They would have celebrated 61 years of marriage April 15, 2012.

She was a great Gator football fan and enjoyed watching tennis. Family trips were a priority and traveled all over the USA and the United Kingdom. She was an avid reader and lover of books.

She was attended Grace Presbyterian Church, Gainesville.She was a member of  Florida State Genealogical  Society, a Florida Pioneer  Descendant ;a member of United Daughters of Confederacy ; Colonial Dames of 17th Century; Daughters of the American Revolution ; and a member of Georgia Salzberger Society. She was the matriarch of the Nash Family and the Oficial Nash Family genealogist.

 She is preceded in death by her father, Leslie Stumpf; mother Madeleine Hall; and son Brian Gordon.

 Suvivors include husband William S. (Stan) Gordon of Gainesville; daughter Paula June Gordon Thomas (Chuck) Gainesville; brother Al Hall Melrose; brother Steve Hall(Mary) Gainesville; nephews Stephen Hall Gainesville and Victor Hall Apopka; and dozens of loving Nash Family cousins and Stumpf Family cousins.

A memorial service will be held  11:00 AM,Wednesday April 4, 2012 at Grace Presbyterian Church 3146 N.W. 13th Street, Gainesville,Florida. In lieu of  flowers donations may be sent to Haven Hospice 4200 N.W. 90th Blvd. Gainesville,FL or a favorite charity in memory of June S. Gordon.
