Kathleen B. Otte

Kathleen B. Otte passed away at her home August 21, 2014.  Born in Campbellsport, Wisconsin on August 11, 1931, she enjoyed being a military wife, gourmet cook, avid bridge player, and voracious reader.  Mrs. Otte was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, William Otte.  Her surviving siblings are Lucille Posig, Marian Anders, and Jack Berg, all of Wisconsin.

 

Kathleen was the loving mother of five children. Gale, her daughter, lives in Tallahassee with her husband Michael Whitehead. Her eldest son, Mark, lives in Gainesville. Her son Greg lives with his wife Kila in Golden, Colorado. Jeff lives with his wife Terri in Ocala. Her youngest son, Steve and his wife Nancy live in Chiefland. Kathleen has sixteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, August 26th at Holy Faith Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m.  Internment will follow at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Haven Hospice or the National Kidney Foundation.
