| Lawrence “Doug” Spencer, 54, of LaCrosse, FL passed away on March 12, 2012. He was the son of Betty Schaupp and the late Lawrence Spencer. He is survived by his devoted wife of 25 years, Kimberely Spencer; 3 sons, Kinney Standridge and wife, Laura Standridge, Kyle Cooper and Jesse Spencer; daughter, Sarah Williams; his mother, Betty Schaupp; a sister, Pennie Rodriguez and husband Luis Rodriguez; two brothers, Scott Spencer and Donald Spencer and five loved grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Michael Spencer and Rocky Spencer. He was a proud husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many people. Doug was a roofer by trade. He enjoyed the Florida Gators, fishing, his pets and most of all his family. He had the biggest heart and he touched many lives. He will be thought of every single day and he will be remembered always. A special thanks to all of Doug’s family, friends, and the 5th floor of Shands Hospital for being there for Doug. His life will be celebrated on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the Waldo Baptist Church, 14370 Kennard St., Waldo, FL at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jim Dubois and his brother-in-law, Jason Mills (Rev.) officiating. Flowers are welcome or those who wish may make donations in his memory to cancer research at Shands Cancer Center. |
