Gainesville – Mom went to be with the Lord October 2, 2013 at Haven Hospice E.T. York Care Center. She was born in Windsor, IL on December 29, 1930 and was 82 years old. She moved to Gainesville December 1960 with her husband and children. Mom worked as a waitress from 1960 until around 1972.
She always had flower gardens and could grow anything. She also worked with ceramics, painting and gave them to her children and grandchildren. After moving to Archer in 2005, she joined the quilting club at the Methodist Church in Archer. She had many hours piecing and sewing her quilts. During the last year of her life, she was a resident at Parkland Rehab and Nursing Center. She was a member of Oak Park Baptist Church where she was baptized.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Wilson of Gainesville, daughter, Teri Renfroe, Melrose and 2 brothers, Bill Jones, Mattoon, IL and Bob Jones, Gainesville.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Barbara Mark (Gene) Archer; Marie Walton (Tony) Ocala; 2 sons, Jeff Beals (Debbie) Hawthorne and Jim Beals (Sheila) Tucson, Az; sister, Anita Thompson (Bill) of Windsor; brother, Chuck Jones (Joyce) Tuscola, IL; and 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 12:00 noon on Monday, October 7, 2013 at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Avenue, Gainesville with family receiving friends one hour before the funeral. An online guestbook is available for condolences at www.forestmeadowsfh.com.
