Marian Annette Durrance Scofield, 85 of Newberry departed this earth on August 31st, 2014. She resided at Riverwood Heath and Rehabilitation in Starke. Annette was born on August 11th, 1929 in Haile, FL to Arthur and Emma Long Cox.
Annette was preceded in death by her two husbands, Jim Durrance, being married to him for 50 years and then Owen Scofield. She was also preceded by a Great Grandson, son-in-law Delly Norris and her brothers Wilbur and Jimmy Cox.
Annette has four daughters and son-in-laws, Gail and Kermit Walker and Elaine and Tommy Williams of High Springs, Vinell and Billy Griggs and Nyla and Dub(LW) Fowler of Alachua. She also has 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Annette loving gardening and working in her yard growing pretty flowers she also loved to go fishing.
Funeral service for Annette will be graveside and Jonesville Baptist Church Cemetery on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 10:00am with the Rev. Elwood Baker officiating. There will be a visitation on Tuesday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Evans-Carter Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Hospice of the Nature Coast.
