Marjorie Caswell DeLoach, passed away Monday, June 8, 2015, at her residence in Alachua.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carlton DeLoach. She was a graduate of Alachua High School Class of 1945, and a member of First Baptist Church of High Springs. She assisted her husband in their fuel oil business and farming operation for many years. She was noted for her cooking skills, most especially her pound cakes and pecan pies. Her main focus was her family and church.
Survivors include two sons, Buddy (Elizabeth) DeLoach, Alachua, Virgil (Holly) DeLoach, Ft White, two daughters, Gail (Jim) Emerson and Carol (Tom) Audit, both of Alachua, 8 grandchildren, Clint DeLoach, Pace, Clay, and Josh Emerson, Eric Audit, and Sarah, Charles and Alison DeLoach, 8 great grandchildren, Nicholas, Zack, Ivy, Shay, Luke, Lainey and Liam Emerson, and Luke DeLoach, and one sister, Dorothy Pehl of Penny Farms.
Graveside funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Newnansville Cemetery. Dr. Derek Lambert will officiate. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Evans-Carter Funeral Home 386-454-2444.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church, 20112 N US Highway 441, High Springs, FL 32643.
