Martha Moody Barnes, 90, of Newnan, GA., passed away on 11/3/2021 in Newnan, GA.
Martha was born in Yates Center, KS. To Leslie and Helen Moody on 7/14/1931. She was a
homemaker. She enjoyed Florida Gator Football, Word Search puzzles, coloring but mostly she
loved Facebook and online shopping.
Martha is proceeded in death by her husband of 47 years John (Jasper) Barnes, her parents
Leslie and Helen Moody and her daughter in law Claire Barnes (Lance).
Martha is survived by her brother Max Moody (Debbie), Greensboro, NC, her 4 children, Lance
Barnes, Auburndale, FL, Lesley Sprague (John), Gainesville, FL, Kerri Beckham (Arty),
Hawthorne, FL and Gavin Barnes (Mary), Newnan, GA. 11 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23 rd Ave, Gainesville on
Monday, 11/8/2021 from 5 to 7 PM.
Burial will be held at the Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102 nd Ave, Bushnell, FL. 33513 at
9:30am on Tuesday, 11/9/2021. Forest Meadows Funeral Home are handling the funeral
arrangements.

I just found out that Martha has passed on to heaven. She was one of the sweetest ladies I know . I knew her in Lena Vista Baptist Church and at Christian Pharmacy. Then when they moved back to Auburndale, at Auburndale Community Pharmacy. We were Facebook friends and I loved hearing from her. She loved her family and friends very much and will be missed by all that knew her. Her friend, Joyce
