It is with great sorrow to announce the passing of one of God’s children, Mary Ramsey on March 29, 2022 in Gainesville, Florida She was born in Jacksonville, Florida on April 2, 1953 to Clyde and Pearly Mae (Todd) Howell of Waycross, GA. Mary was a devoted Christian to our Lord and Savior. She was one of fourteen siblings born to the same parents. She was extremely proud of her four children and one stepson. Nothing gave her more pleasure than to see them grow up and begin raising families of their own. She enjoyed working part time with the Salvation Army in N. Carolina and in Gainesville. She made friends at both locations and I know you will miss her as we all do.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Curtis A. Ramsey her children, William (Terri) Grimes, Victor (Mary) Grimes, Jesse (Mindy) Howard, Tonya (Jimmy) Howard, and her stepson, Christopher Ramsey. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; Kaycee (Max) Grimes, Kayla (Greg) Meadows, Joshua (Brittany) Courchene, Joseph Courchene, Hannah Howard, Madison Howard, Dakota Howard, Alan (Laney) Sweatman and five great-grandchildren, Danica Courchene, Dallyn Courchene, Parker Courchene, Aiden Sweatman, and Andersen Sweatman, with a great-Granddaughter due in May 2022. She is also survived by six siblings, Barbara Jean Lewis, Marlene Winecoff, Debbie Howell, Erma Jean Holton, Gerald Howell, and Jimmy (Amy) Howell, by her mother-in-law, Ruby A. Ramsey, brother-in- law, Ted (Barbara) Ramsey, and sister-in-law, Pamela (Joe) Breidenstine, cousins, Mary Katherine and Bobby Pennington and being that she was so dearly loved by many, many people, it would be impossible to list you all, so I’ll just categorize, neighbors, friends, more cousins, nieces, nephews, church members and in general, everyone she met. She loved you all!
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her father-in-law, also by a granddaughter, Brittany Grimes, and by seven siblings, Betty Joe Howell, Henry Howell, Vernon Howell, Johnny Howell, Ernestine Miller, and David Howell, Gail Bohannon.
